Matt, his wife Jenny, and their daughters, Abby & Nell, have lived in Westmount’s District 7 with their rescue dogs Melvin & Jolene, since 2015.
From his childhood at Roslyn Elementary through his formative years at Lower Canada College & Dawson College, Matt is a life-long member of our community

A lawyer and partner at Westmount-based Adessky Attorneys, Matt leads his firm’s immigration group.
He also practices:
- Real estate law, helping landlords and tenants in commercial leasing & acquisitions,
- Business law, with a focus on small enterprises, family businesses and non-profit organizations.
Experienced
Matt has more than 25 years experience as a community leader. Recently, he has served as:
- Secretary of the Board of the Quebec Community Groups Network (QCGN), the leading Quebec advocacy group for official minority language communities
- Secretary of the Board of Notre-Dame-des-Arts, which funds and promotes the arts and runs NDG ArtsWeek Festival
- Treasurer of the Federal Liberal Association of NDG-Westmount in support of Minister Marc Garneau
- Member of YMCA Kanawana Alumni Awards committee
- Volunteer workshop leader for YES Montreal, PME Montreal and Ometz
